Walk Through the History of Milan
Overview of the tour in Milan
Welcome to Milan!
We will start our tour from the magnificent Cathedral, the DUOMO with its 135 spiers and more than 3000 statues, a building site under construction for more than 600 years.
We will visit the great “living room” of the Gallery and the most famous theater in Europe: the SCALA. Then we will move nearby to get to know the political and judicial center born in the Middle Ages, the beating heart of business: the ancient Broletto and its square.
We will see the oldest symbol of Milan, a show that was sighted by the leader of the Celtic tribe Belloveso in the 4th century BC as a sign to found the city.
We will find out where the Roman Forum was, which is the center of the ancient Roman city: Mediolanum. Finally, we will arrive at the ancient remains of the Roman city, the IMPERIAL PALACE!
We will see wonderful frescoes in a convent church considered the Sistine Chapel of Milan: San Maurizio. The tour will end at the beautiful Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, a Unesco heritage site, where Leonardo da Vinci's “The Last Supper” is located,
Finally, the tour will continue and finish with the symbol of medieval cities: THE SFORZESCO CASTLE.
