Group Tour Perast & Our Lady of The Rocks
Overview of the tour in Kotor
The tour starts from the city park near the port of Kotor, 200m from the main gate of the Old Town. Our first stop is an islet in the middle of the Bay of Kotor, named after the church on it - Our Lady of Škrpjela. The interior of the church dates from the 15th century.
In the central part, there is a marble altar that houses the icon of Our Lady of Škrpjela, which was painted by the famous painter Lovro Dobrićević. Also, the interior is decorated with many baroque paintings by the famous Kotor painter Tripo Kokolj: Coronation of Mary, Death of Mary, Ascension of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and many others.
The next stop is picturesque Perast. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its Baroque architecture, historic palaces, Catholic churches, and defensive towers that will take your senses back to the old days. Despite having only one main street, the Old Town is full of history, attractions, and hedonistic experiences that visitors will cherish for years to come.
