Overview of the tour in Gijon

Gijón is one of the must-see places in Asturias, due to its coastal location, its history, its cosmopolitan day-to-day life and its culture. Now, you can discover it in a unique way.

To begin with, we can meet at the door of the Town Hall or at your hotel, if it is located in the center of the city. We will see the Plaza Mayor, the Campo Valdes and the exterior of the church of San Pedro. As we walk, you will see a multitude of contrasts between the modern and the old.

We will walk through the traditional neighborhood of Cimadevilla, see the remains of the city wall and pass by essential monuments such as the birthplace of Jovellanos. In a quiet walk, we will go up leaving Arturo Arias square behind, until we reach Santa Catalina hill and the Elogio del Horizonte.

In the Plaza del Marqués, between bars and restaurants, to know some vestiges of Roman times. You will find the statue of Don Pelayo, the Palace of Revillagigedo - a jewel of the Asturian baroque - or the Cider Tree. We will finish this tour in the area of the Marina, where we will see the photogenic Gijón signs.
