Overview of the tour in Colombo

Our company representative will pick you up from your hotel in Colombo and proceed to Polonnaruwa. Walk across its scattered walls of the World Heritage Site - blessed by stupas, resting Buddha statues, irrigation canals, and fantastically carved Hindu sculptures - while observing the relic house - Vatadage - which boasts of beautiful stone carvings. Visit the Gal viharaya and observe the absolute beauty gushing out of every bend of its huge Buddhist statues. Nissankamalla Council Chamber is, however, a head-spinning beauty to just sit back and observe with its swaying pillars reminding the aesthetics of a powerful kingdom that rests beside Parakrama Samudraya - sea of Parakramabahu & masterpiece of irrigation!

Then have lunch at a recommended restaurant and proceed to Minneriya National Park to enjoy an evening safari. Minneriya National Park is the largest known meeting place of Asian Elephants in the world. During this period herds, up to 300 elephants are seen at the 8,890-hectare park within a few square kilometers of the Minneriya Reservoir. Once the tour ends be dropped back to your hotel in Colombo.
