Free Tour - Ribera del Duero Vineyards

Overview of the tour in Burgos

This free tour focuses on the vineyard and the particularities of the Ribera del Duero. To learn about the winemaking process, you can take a guided tour of the family winery located in the same town and an underground cellar from the 17th century that includes a tasting of two Ribera del Duero wines (book the visit privately).

During the Freetour we will taste wine in the traditional way (if you dare). In addition, we will bring you closer to the Ribera del Duero:
- Presentation and history of the Ribera del Duero
- Climatic factors and their great meteorological extremes that affect the vineyard.
- The varied orography and its nuances in the wines.
- The grape varieties of the area, especially the Tempranillo or Tinta del Pais grape
- Vegetative cycle of the vine from pruning to harvest.
- Different vineyard planting frameworks.
- New trends in vineyards and wines
- Some emblematic wineries, others peculiar, and others essential to know.

On arrival

We'll meet at Bar Rosoa. From there we will move to the vineyards located 3 minutes by car from the meeting point.

Things to note

Comfortable shoes suitable for roads are recommended. It is also advisable to bring warm clothing.
