Overview

Torino, the first capital of Italy, celebrated for its royal residences, grand piazzas and baroque splendors. But there’s another Torino, beloved by locals and visitors, where nature reveals its shapes and colours: parks, rivers and natural reservations are a must-see of the city!

Our bicycle ride starts at Valentino park, the oldest and most popular, featuring a number of fancy castles and gardens. Leaving Valentino, we cycle along the river Po banks to reach Colletta Park, with its enchanting alley of trees and the Confluence area lake. The cyclepath by the shore runs until the medieval village of San Mauro where we will stop for a for a good cappuccino or an artisan gelato italiano!

On the way back to Torino, we ride on the opposite side of river Po across the wild Meisino Natural Reservation, dominated by the peak of Superga. We proceed towards the city centre surrounded by luxuriant vegetation, to hit the final destination of the outing: the hilltop of Monte dei Cappuccini, the belvedere of Torino, with its panoramic terrace overlooking the old capital. A short and steep ascent, but definitely worth the effort.
