Overview of the tour in Tenerife

Discover the history and religious tradition of Candelaria, one of the most emblematic places in Tenerife.

The tour will begin by the last stretch of the historic Camino Real, which will take us to the Basilica of Our Lady of Candelaria, where we will learn about the legend of the Virgin of Candelaria and its relationship with the ancient Guanches.

We will admire the sculptures of the nine Guanche menceys that rule the square in front of the basilica.


We will visit the Casa de las Miquelas Pottery Center, where we will talk about the local craft tradition.

And we will explore the historic Achbinico Cave, the first sanctuary of the Virgin.

Finally, we will talk about its fishing port and volcanic beaches, so that after finishing the tour you can enjoy the authentic seafaring atmosphere of the village.

We will start the route at the Plaza de la Patrona de Canarias (next to the sculptural ensemble of the Menceyes).
