Overview

Starting point: Orto Botanico (Via Lincoln, 2). After our introduction, we'll show Orto Botanico's main buildings. We'll go along Via Lincoln until Villa Giulia, attached to the Orto Botanico. We'll enter the Villa and describe the architectural structure and some monuments. Then we'll enter the Kalsa (a historical district of the city) to see two of the most important churches of the neighbourhood, after that, we'll reach the Foro Italico and have a look at the Mura delle Cattive (Via Messina Marine); here I'll explain you the history of these places. You'll be also able to admire our beautiful sea, while having a taste (if you want) of our typical street food, or our gelato, in one of the oldest bar of the city!
We'll go along Foro Italico and stop at Porta Felice, the ancient harbor (Cala) and Chiesa della Catena. Then we'll go along Corso Vittorio Emanuele (Antico Cassaro) as far as Piazza Pretoria and I Quattro Canti di Città (Piazza Vigliena).
At the end, going on Corso Vittorio, we'll arrive to the Cathedral whose history we'll explain from outside.

This activity includes:

Orto Botanico - Villa Giulia - Kalsa - Foro Italico - Mura delle Cattive - Porta Felice - La Cala - Chiesa di S. Maria della Catena - Piazza Marina - Corso Vittorio Emanuele - Piazza Pretoria - Quattro Canti - Cattedrale -
