Join our private walking tour to get to know the Basilica de Guadalupe, one of the most visited religious destinations in the world.

Located at the foot of the Tepeyac Hill, this Roman Catholic Church, basilica, and National shrine of Mexico house the cloak containing the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The 1709 shrine was built in the place where the Virgin Mary is believed to have appeared to Juan Diego – one of the most venerated saints in Latin America. The current basilica structure which now contains Juan Diego’s cloak was completed in 1974. This site is also known as La Villa de Guadalupe or, in a more popular sense, La Villa, and has several churches and related buildings. One of the most important pilgrimage sites of Catholicism, the basilica is visited by 20 million people every year, especially around 12 December, our Lady of Guadalupe’s Feast day.

On arrival

Please arrive at the meeting point (main entrance of Museo Mural Diego Rivera) at least 5 min before the scheduled time - your guide will be waiting there with a sign saying "Vibe Adventures". Then we will get a Metrobus to get to the Basilica together.
