Christmas Lights Free Tour
Overview of the tour in London
Join me on an adventure through the streets of London. Since 1954, when the first set of lights went up on Regent's Street, London's Christmas Lights have got bigger and more extravagant each year. Making London's streetlights the best in the world. Find out how the Royal Family and the City of Westminster are able to get agreement from all the businesses to share in the cost of the lights. Who in Britain popularised the Christmas Tree? Why did the Puritans cancel Christmas? What is a Piccadilly? Why do we kiss under Mistletoe?
