I am based in Ethulkotte, so I can start this tour from Diyatha Uyana. This place is a highly rated water leisure park for anyone who wants to rest a bit. There, I can ask them which areas they are interested in covering within the limited time.

I’ll start from Torrington, Colombo 07, as a historical place with high-ranked authentic buildings that reflect Sri Lankan culture. Next to that is the Arcade Independence Square. All these buildings reflect Sri Lankan history after independence in 1947. After that, we head straight to Gangaramaya Temple, situated in the heart of Colombo. This temple showcases Sri Lankan culture in a beautiful setting surrounded by a lake, along with the best views of Colombo and many high-rise buildings in a busy city area.
For street food, I always recommend Aluth Kade since it is next to the Sri Lankan legal court complex, which also holds historical value from 1947. This will be the best experience anyone can have within 3 hours in a busy city tour, guided by a local.
